The Ordinariate is designed to provide a solid spiritual base for those already in ministry who sense a call to minister within the historic Church as founded by the Apostles. This on-line Ordinariate program provides a fundamental mentorship to men seeking ministry who desire to be ordained as a deacon and/or abbot. This program also provides a process for Roman Catholic priests who have married to be received into the Culdee though first a laicization with the Romn Catholic Church and then ordination with the Culdee. Contact +David Michael if you are a Roman Catholic Priest who has married and left the Roman sacramental ministry nd desire to again serve if invited to do so. info@glentivar.org 40 Day Ordinariate Program The Ordinariate program is based on the 40-day readings of the 'Purpose Drive Life' by Rick Warren. Each day a student will be expected to read the scriptural texts located in the notes section and then write a daily journal (1/2 page minimum) based on a journal question. In addition, students will write a position paper on a daily doctrinal topic. The journal question for each day is found on the last page of each day's reading from the 'Warren' book as the 'Question to Consider'. The daily study time in this program is expected to take about 2 hours per day for 40 days to satisfactorily complete this program. Our primary source is the Holy Scriptures and it is advised that students have minimally a Study Bible (Thompson Chain), a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, the Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church and a computer with easy internet access for email and internet research and for writing papers and journal entries. The journal and position papers are to be provided in single spaced essay format and sent in either DOC or RTF format attached to an email to the students assigned mentor. Doctrine Position Papers The doctrine position papers provide to students an opportunity to systematically explain their beliefs and why they believe them. As a recommended format for each paper, a student should first state the general idea (thesis) of their belief then define all terms that might be unfamiliar to a common reader. Students should then provide a brief historical overview of the topic and then provide why they believe what they believe as justified on the bible and other extrabiblical books with related historic and cultural facts. Paper should be about 1-2 pages in length. To achieve this, students need to be brief but thorough in addressing the topic and in their writing style. 'Cut and paste' from sources will be greatly frowned upon. Tuition The charge for the Ordinariate program is minimal at $200 per student for the 40 day program which is about $5 a day. An on-line payment capability will soon be set up to provide for online payment via a credit or debit card. Checks may be made out to Mt. Zion Inc. with 'Culdee Ordinariate' written in the memo and sent to: Abbot +David Micheal, OC
Culdee Ordinariate PO Bx 301 Hartsel, CO 80449 Certificate of Completion and Ordination or Incardination The satisfactory completion of the Ordinariate program does not guarantee ordination or incardination into the deaconate. This decision rests with the bishop or bishops and their jurisdictions who would provide the ordination or incardination. Some bishops may ordain veteran ministers into the order of priest when extensive ministry experience, education, depth of response and spirituality is sufficiently demonstrated during this course. The course helps the student to better understand and communicate their beliefs and focus their mission while also providing to the ordaining bishop a sense of who the student is and their potential trustworthiness as an ordained minister serving within their jurisdiction.
